"AirMac Utility" is an application for managing Apple Wi-Fi routers, but also has a "Wi-Fi scanner" function.

By using this function, you can check the radio wave strength (RSSI) of the surrounding Wi-Fi router and the channel used.

How to use the "Wi-Fi scanner" function

By default, the scanner function is turned off, so turn it on from the "Settings" app below.

[設定]>[AirMac]>[Wi-Fiスキャナ]

When you turn it on and then open the "AirMac Utility" app, the "Wi-Fi scan" button will be added at the top right of the screen.

You can specify the scan time with the slider for 10 seconds to 60 seconds, or continuously.

When you start the scan, the SSID is displayed in the order of radio waves.

"RSSI" is based on the radio wave reception intensity (the smaller the absolute value), and it falls by the distance from the router and the shield.

"Channel" represents the frequency band of the radio wave used (divided), and if it is competing, it may interfere and the quality of communication will decrease.

When you end (or stop) the scan, you can check the data for each SSID in chronological order.
