Pixel 6 cannot use face recognition to unlock the device. What ?! Google's cutting-edge flagship? I'm surprised, but I don't. Many fans are disappointed because it was in the previous model, and many people on Twitter call Google "Support for unlocking face recognition!".
However, it seems that it will be supported. The source XDA Developers reports that the source code has facial recognition related code.
Developers in the XDA Developers community have discovered that there is a feature named "Tuscany" in Google's code changes to the Pixel 6's PowerHAL configuration file. This seems to be related to facial recognition unlock.

In Pixel 6, the terminal is canceled by fingerprint authentication instead of face authentication, but there are complaints immediately after the release that this is "slow response!". People who like fingerprint authentication even if it's a little late (it's better if it's fast) because they wear masks in the corona era, and people who like face authentication after all, have their own tastes. That's why I hope that the face recognition function will be released as an option in the near future. Is it likely?
