"Full-scale Freedom Gundam Statue" Ceremony Released on YouTube

In 2022, "GUNDAM SEED PROJECT ignited" will start as a new project for "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED", which will celebrate its 20th anniversary since the start of TV broadcasting. As part of that, the "Life-size Freedom Gundam Statue" was installed in Shanghai, and the opening ceremony was held on the 28th. In the video, you can watch comments from director Mitsuo Fukuda about the movie version that is being made as a sequel to the TV series, and live footage from T.M.Revolution/Takanori Nishikawa, who was in charge of the theme song. At the ceremony, which was held by inviting local guests, a statue production linked to the new animation directed by Director Fukuda was shown.

Life-size Freedom Gundam Statue is the first life-size Gundam statue overseas. Installed at Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Shanghai Jinqiao, which opened on April 28 in Shanghai, China. The Freedom Gundam from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED", which is popular overseas, is reproduced with the same scale as in the play, with a top height of 18.03m. It features a powerful silhouette with large wings on its back for the first time as a full-scale Gundam statue.
