○ Play FPS "VALORANT" with explosion rules!
VALORANT is a 5on5 skill-based FPS game that uses the so-called "explosion rule". The attacker's goal is to set up and detonate "spikes" in the explosion areas prepared in 2 to 3 places for each map, and the defender's goal is to prevent spikes from being set up, and if they are set up The goal is to remove. Of course, the annihilation of the enemy camp is one of the victory conditions, so it is also important to defeat the enemy with the gun you have in your hand.
The game modes are "Unrated" where you can casually enjoy the explosion rules, "Competitive" where you compete for skill ratings with the explosion rules, "Spike Rush" where weapons are randomly selected each round and all attackers wield spikes, and respawn. We have prepared a "Death Match" where you can improve your shooting skills, and a "Custom Game" where you can play a red-and-white battle with a fixed face. Depending on the time of year, unique time-limited rules may be added, and you can play "Escalation", where the attack method changes in stages, and "Replication", where all five people fight with the same agent.
The main ones are Unrated and Competitive, which compete for victory or defeat in the explosion mode. In both modes, the offensive and defensive change is set in the 13th round, and the victory condition is to win the 13th round by annihilating the opposing team and exploding/deactivating the spikes. Therefore, from the next page, I will explain the questions that beginners may face when they participate in the unrate.
Choose an agent that suits you
○ Choose an agent that suits you
A major feature of VALORANT is that you can select an "agent" with various abilities and ultimates and face the battle. Some agents are locked in the initial state, but can be unlocked without charging. As you play continuously, the "contract" with the agent progresses, and you can use it when you advance to Tier 5.
The first thing that seems confusing is the "character pick", which agent you should choose before the round. In that case, let's take a look at the description of the character. All VALORANT agents are unique, but they can be roughly divided into "duelists," "controllers," "initiators," and "sentinels."
This time, we will introduce duelists, controllers, and initiators that are particularly suitable for beginners from this category. Among them, we will focus on the simplicity of the abilities, and explain "Raise" from the Duelist, "Omen" from the controller, and "Bleach" from the Initiator.
○ Duelist "Raise" who fights with explosives
Among the duelists, we recommend Reyes, who can fight just by throwing explosives at them. The ability consists of "paint bullets" that can throw hand grenades to deal damage, "blast packs" that throw small sticky bombs, and "boombots" that self-propelled and rushed at the enemy, and the ultimate is to shoot rocket launchers. It is a "show stopper" that can attack in range.
The point is that all abilities are pretty simple and can be used just by throwing or rolling. The ultimate Showstopper doesn't require any special controls, just shoot close to the enemy and you're good to go. Even if you don't get a kill, if you do even a little damage, you can count it as an assist.
Also, if you hit an ally, the explosive will turn into friendly fire, so be conscious of throwing it far away at first.
○ Controller "Omen" that can spread smoke far on the map
Omen is an agent that deploys smoke to reduce the enemy's advantageous positions and turn the tide of battle. Ability configuration is "Dark Cover" that deploys smoke, "Paranoia" that deprives sight, "Shroud Step" that teleports short distances within sight, and Ultimate is "From the Shadows". It teleports anywhere on the map, useful for raids and reconnaissance.
If you're not sure where to deploy the smoke, put it out to block where enemies are likely to appear. Let's try to push it to the enemy side as much as possible and put out the smoke. A few other things to keep in mind: Paranoia, which blinds you, can hit allies, and the ultimate makes a loud noise when activated, and you're pretty much done with Omen.
○ Initiator "Bleach" that is easy to apply abilities
Among the initiators that support the duelist's attack, we recommend "Breach", which is easy to hit with abilities. Abilities are "Flash Point", which pushes the flash through walls, "Fault Line", which creates a dizzy state and brings it into an advantageous state, "Aftershock", which deals damage through walls, and Ultimate, which makes Fault Line even larger. It's like a "rolling thunder".
So far I have introduced recommended agents, but the most important thing is to choose the agent you want to play. If you're drawn to Sage's graphics, then Sage is fine, and if you started VALORANT because of the pros' use of Yol, pick Yol to play.
On the next page, I will explain about purchasing weapons.
Be aware of "3,900 cost" when purchasing weapons and skills
○ Be aware of "3,900 cost" when purchasing weapons and skills
After character picking, the next step is waiting for the “purchase phase” where you select weapons and skills. In VALORANT, you can't use weapons and skills as much as you like, and you need to manage by paying the cost earned by killing, assisting, installing and removing spikes. In addition to the agent's pick, the bargaining of "what to buy" in this purchase phase is also a point that greatly affects victory or defeat.
However, there is actually a simple theory after the third round. It is to be conscious of "leave 3,900 cost for the next round". The reason is that you need to purchase a 2,900-cost assault rifle "Phantom" or "Vandal", plus a "Heavy Shield" that increases HP by 1.5 times for 1,000-cost.
In addition, the first 1 and 2 rounds are commonly known as "pistol rounds", and only low-cost weapons can be selected. So for the first round, you can choose any weapon or skill you like. The second round will depend on whether you win or lose in the first round, but if you win, you should pay the cost to purchase a weapon, and if you lose, you should pay 3,900 costs to the next round.
Also, it is important to match the timing of weapon purchases for all members of the team as much as possible. Let's try to concentrate our forces by unifying "buying with the whole team (full buy)" or "saving with the whole team (eco)".
By the way, weapons are of course not "must be Phantoms or Vandals". If you know how to use a sniper rifle, you can buy a powerful sniper rifle "Operator", and the light machine gun "Odin" that shoots stably when crouching and ADS is also powerful. Personally, I also like the easy-to-handle submachine gun "Specter". Remember, if you can buy your favorite weapon with a Heavy Shield, it's generally fine.
● What kind of NG play do beginners tend to do?
○ What is the NG play that beginners tend to do?
On the other hand, I will also introduce actions that tend to be frowned upon. If you are concerned about other players' gazes, put it in the corner of your head.
1,Buying too many weapons at a different time than allies
As I explained in the purchase phase, this is a point I want to keep in mind as much as possible. It's okay to want weapons and skills, but don't buy weapons if none of your allies are buying them. If the timing of purchase is dispersed, the force will also be dispersed.
2,Determine the agent immediately (immediately pick it up)
Even if you're thinking, ``I'm going to be Raising all day today,'' it's better to refrain from making a character selection decision too soon in Competitive. If you want to do it, select an agent without confirming it, and see what's going on around you. However, the only thing I want to worry about is competitive. It's okay to choose the agent you want to work with as soon as you unrate.
3,Hit the flash on an ally
Ability is where you want to use as much as possible. In particular, you need to be careful not to hit allies with flash-type abilities. There are various types of flash, such as ``throwing normally'', ``curving and flying type'', ``bouncing type'', ``type that can be controlled freely to some extent'', and ``type that hits over the wall''. Also, many abilities go through the process of “handing out” → “activating”. If you think "I'm going to use the flash now", it's a good idea to take advantage of the abilities while taking the lead and appeal to your allies.

○ Check out the recommended settings!
Finally, I would like to introduce some recommended settings. The design of the "crosshair", which is always displayed in the center of the screen and is directly linked to the ease of accurate shooting, can be set quite finely, so I would like to set it so that it is easy to see.
○ Conclusion
So far, I have mainly explained the points that people who start VALORANT for the first time may get lost. VALORANT players are highly skilled and gun control is quite difficult. Still, the experience of competing for victory with severe explosion rules should surely be more exciting than other games.
VALORANT is now available for Windows 7/8.1/10. I think it works on almost any PC, so feel free to play it if you're interested.
