You can use a cotton swab instead of copy paper. Of course, work with the computer turned off. Avoid using an air duster or vacuum cleaner. There are often subtle gaps near the USB port, which can push dust into your computer. On the contrary, the vacuum cleaner may attract dust inside the computer to the vicinity of the USB port. This is because most PCs, whether notebook or desktop, have a CPU cooling fan inside and tend to store dust. If you want to clean it more easily, you can also use accessories sold under names such as USB port cleaner. Since the part in contact with the terminal is coated with an abrasive, it can be expected to have the effect of eliminating poor contact.
